Hi Edith, I really liked your quote about how seeing someone with your heart allows you to see how you are the same. Often we make assumptions about people based on outward appearances, yet on the inside most people just want to be respected and feel included. Remembering this when working with children and families is especially important because children and parents look towards teachers when deciding whether or not to accept a new child and family or not. An inclusive environment makes all the difference, and as we learned this week, it can make the difference between resilience and a negative outcome.
